Forget Me Not

Calli’s mom is going to a florist convention in Las Vegas for three days and is leaving Calli to sleep at the P’engs’ house. Calli doesn’t want to sleep over at a boy’s house, and she and Jinsong are still not talking to one another.

Mrs. P’eng comes over that night to pick up Calli, but Calli lies and says that she can’t sleep at their house because she’s sick.

That Friday night is the first time that Calli has slept alone at her house overnight. She checks the locks repeatedly and gets scared by strange creaking sounds throughout the night.
